Greetings! My name is Skatty (or Jinun) and welcome to my little home on the web. It’s lovely, isn’t it?

I created it as my own little space on the web to host pictures, practice my HTML skills, and to occasionally rant and rave about things that piss me off. Now it’s just a site that links to my social media accounts.

It all started in high school, during my sophomore year I was excused from gym for most of the year while undergoing tests to determine cause of my knee pain. So every day I had to head off to the frozen tundra we called a library. In addition to freezing my ass off, I often found it difficult to concentrate on my studies due to the constant humming of the lights above. It was then that I wrote my first book of rants entitled, “The Lights, the Ducks, and the Metal People”….referring to the humming lights in the library, Holden Caulfield’s duck obsession in “The Catcher In the Rye” (the book we were reading for English class), and the tall, metal stick figures that decorated our school’s courtyard. It was then that I developed my talent for ranting. (Though I use the word “talent” loosely.)

It was also during this period of my life where I invented a character named “Charlie” that I would integrate into notes I wrote to my friends, often writing Charlie’s “words” in a different handwriting style and ink color. Charlie was basically the voice in my head…my conscience, or lack thereof. He was the sarcastic, annoying, juvenile side of me that was itching to get out. Charlie’s main goal was to antagonize me. We would talk, argue, debate and insult each other. Charlie made writing fun.

As of right now, my rants are no longer public. Perhaps one day I will share them again. But for now you will just have to imagine that they are really well written and funny as hell.
